East Anglia Transport Museum

A Heritage Transport museum which includes buses, cars, vans, trams, trolleybuses, a narrow gauge railway and a 'Tar, Sweat and Steam' building displaying the history of roadbuilding. Enjoy unlimited rides on vintage buses, trams, trolleybuses and narrow gauge railway all included in the entry price. There are many examples of vintage street furniture, a cafe, well stocked shop and free car parking. The museum is well served by public transport with half hourly services from Lowestoft & Norwich (X22) (Mon-Sat, 2 hourly on Sun) and from Kessingland, Norwich & Southwold (146) half hourly AM and Hourly PM, Mon-Sat, all stopping right outside the museum.

Carlton Marshes Nature Reserve


Carlton Marshes lies in the Waveney Valley at the southern tip of the Norfolk Broads. This Suffolk Wildlife Trust nature reserve is a mosaic of marshland habitats and supports a wide variety of wildlife including marsh harrier, water vole and fen raft spider. The Visitor Centre is open 10-4, including our cafe and shop facilities. Toilets are open until 5:30. *Subject to seasonal change*

The Marina Theatre


The Marina Theatre, located in Lowestoft, Suffolk, has a mixture of live entertainment and great cinema. It is at the cultural heart of the community.

Lowestoft Centre


Lowestoft, the most easterly town in the United Kingdom, was established as a fishing village in the early 14th century but the decline in the fishing area has seen a substantial decrease in the number of vessels fishing from our town. It now has a thriving tourist industry with close links with Great Yarmouth making it a popular holiday destination for holidaymakers. The town prides itself on having won the European blue flags for the cleanliness of its beaches. It receives many thousands of visitors each year, the busiest time being over the two-day air show, where 450,000 were in attendance over the two-day period in July 2001.


Pleasurewood Hills Leisure Park - Lowestoft


With a fantastic range of rides, some superb shows and a convenient location, Pleasurewood Hills offer everything for a great group day out in Suffolk. Located just off the A12 between Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth, Pleasurewood Hills has all-age appeal. For the dare devils there are white-knuckle rides but there's also plenty to do for those with more peaceful pursuits in mind and with three shows included in the entrance price, it also offers great value. Pleasurewood Hills is best known as a family theme park set in an attractive large woodland setting.


Berney Arms Windmill - Norfolk


One of Norfolk’s best and largest extant marsh mills, built to grind a constituent of cement and, in use until 1951, finally pumping water to drain surrounding marshland.


Caldecott Hall Golf Club - Fritton


Caldecott Hall is a popular venue with a range of good facilities which offer a pleasant day out to members and visitors. As well as the 18 hole golf course, there's an interesting par three course which demands the use of a range of clubs. The golf course is configured as two loops of nine holes eminating from the clubhouse and is inviting with views from the first tee over much of the opening nine holes which is set on undulating land. The clubhouse is converted 18th century Grade II listed barn and has adjoining changing rooms with oak lockers. The resident professional is on hand for individual or group tuition whilst the Pro Shop is competitively equipped for all your needs.
